Sope writes a song the way she writes a poem, gazing deep into the abyss that a feeling can sometimes be. Mythological references and religious undertones dominate her debut album, We Are the Only Poets, released in 2025. Her first single, Song of Patroclus, is an open-hearted rumination on anticipatory grief (unabashedly influenced by Madeline Miller’s The Song of Achilles) that remains her most sought-out work to date across all major platforms.Her most recent releases have received airplay on 987FM. In 2024, she performed at GastroBeats 2024 with her band, Placebo Affairs, as part of the first-ever run of the GastroBeats music mentorship programme led by 53A. She has performed as part of Scratch n' Shuffle's artist showcase series and has performed at the Esplanade twice as part of its monthly music programmes.
